Within the ambitious program of activities proposed for the Bicentenary celebration, it is worth mentioning the commemorative exhibition of its anniversary, Museo del Prado 1819-2019, "A place of memory". This exhibition is a chronological journey in 8 stages, that tells the history of El Prado Museum as well as how it has been a reflection of the historical evolution of Spain.
