Berlin is the 3rd most visited city in the European Union and is located 70 km from Poland, crossed by the rivers Spree and Havel.

The Berlin Wall, the main emblem of the city, was built in 1961 with a total lenght of 144 km and was demolished in 1989. It is one of the main tourist attractions of the city.

Checkpoint Charlie is another tourist attraction in Berlin. Apart from the post, you can also see the museum dedicated to the history of the wall.

Another symbol that reflects the division of the nation is the Brandenburg Gate. It is the last door of the 13 door of the wall surrounded Berlin until 1860.

Just a few meters away from the Brandenburg Gate you will find the Holocaust Memorial, designed by Peter Eisenman, consisting of 2,711 concrete blocks that immortalize the horrors of the Jewish Holocaust.

Other places of interest are the Reichstag, which since 1999 is the headquarter of the Federal Parliament and the famous Alexanderplatz, one of the cultural, economic and commercial centers of the city. The square is close to the monuments and old buildings such as the town hall (Rotes Rathaus), Berlin Cathedral and Fernsehturm, the highest television tower in the European Union.
